Alongside the MateBook D 16 laptop, Huawei also announced a new open-ear audio device called the Huawei Freeclip. The new TWS product is the latest in Huawei’s audio product selection.

Huawei Malaysia Freeclip Pricing and availability

Huawei Malaysia confirms that the new Freeclip is set to arrive on Malaysian shores next year. In fact, they shared the exact date for the launch – 5 January 2024.

The Freeclip is priced at EUR200 (about RM 1,105) for the global market, so we should see the Malaysian price to be within that ballpark.

Huawei Malaysia Freeclip features

The Freeclip features and interesting design that uses an open-ear design that sits outside of the ear canal, unlike in-ear audio devices. It also comes in fashionable colours that should fit with OOTDs and lifestyle design.

The C-bridge design clips onto your ears to provide a snug and secure fit. It is also IP54 rated so it can withstand sweat and light showers while wearing the Freeclip.

Huawei says each earbuds weighs only 5.6 grams, so it can be on your ears for long period of time without getting uncomfortable. Interestingly, there is no left or right as Huawei built-in an automatic left-right audio adaptive mode so you can wear either earbuds on either ear.

You will get a long battery life, up to 36 hours. Better yet, when you run out of charge, just drop the buds into the charging case and you can get 3 hours of use with 10 minutes of charge. You can charge the case via USB-C or on a wireless charger.

Controlling the buds is done via touching on the buds. Interestingly, the Freeclip can connect to multiple devices. Additionally, you can actually listen to two streams from two devices, e.g. your phone and your laptop simultaneously.
