Back in August, Acer released the Nitro 16 in Malaysia which while fairly powerful with up to AMD Ryzen 9 and RTX 4070 graphics, was priced fairly high too starting at RM5,799. This time round, Acer is launching their new Nitro V 15, giving gamers on a budget a new option for a gaming laptop priced at less than RM4,000.

The Nitro V 15 is very much a budget friendly entry level laptop, going back to the Nitro brand’s roots. Available in two configurations, here’s how much the Nitro V 15 will cost in Malaysia:

Available for purchase already from all Acer concept stores nationwide as well as the Acer Malaysia eStore, anyone who purchases the Nitro V 15 before 31 December 2023 will also be able to redeem free gifts worth up to RM637. This includes a Nitro Urban Gaming backpack, a 3 year subscription to Trend Micro Internet Security, a Logitech G G304 gaming mouse and RM80 worth of Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit.
Acer Nitro V 15 specs
As its name probably implies, the Acer Nitro V 15 comes with a 15.6-inch, IPS display pushing a 1080p resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate and covers 45% of the NTSC colour gamut. Powering it is a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13420H processor, mated to 8GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM with a 512GB NVMe SSD. Graphics meanwhile get taken care of by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050, or the much more powerful GeForce RTX 4050 discrete graphics cards.
I/O meanwhile gets taken care of with a HDMI 2.1 port, a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB-A 2.0 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, an SD card reader, a gigabit Ethernet port and a 3.5 combo audio jack. There’s also an Intel Wireless WiFi 6 AX201 providing support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity.
Other features of note include stereo speakers, a built-in microphone array, white backlit keyboard and a 57Wh battery rated for up to 8 hours of use.
