Malaysia’s first digital bank, GXBank is now open for business to all Malaysians after a beta testing period with selected customers and internal staff. The bank is for those looking for an alternative banking solution than conventional banks. It is offering attractive features and services that make it stand out among banks in Malaysia.
GXBank is now expanded to the rest of Malaysia
At the launch, Pei Si Lai, CEO of GXBank shared, “Since we commenced operations in September 2023, we have tested our app with thousands of beta testers, almost 50% have created “Pockets” – the app’s savings goal feature. Emergencies, holidays and investments are the top three reasons our customers are saving for. Following the months of testing amongst GXBank internal staff, shareholders, partners and selected Malaysians, we feel optimistic and encouraged to now expand to the rest of Malaysia.”
GX Card offers the best of GXBank in one physical card
The bank’s debit card, the GX Card is set to be one of the best debit cards around with unlimited 1% cashback with no cap. The bank is looking forward to the official launch of the GX Card as it symbolises a tangible way for the bank to connect with customers.
Other features of the GX Card include zero markups or fees on foreign transactions, RM1 fee waiver when used at 10,000+ MEPS ATM nationwide, and 1.5x GrabRewards points when users spend at Jaya Grocer. There is (so far) no fees for overseas cash withdrawals (via the Mastercard network).
Additionally, Customers can earn daily interest of 3% p.a. when they park their money in the main accounts or “Pockets”, the bank’s name for saving goals available in the app itself.
Opening promotion with GXBank
As part of the opening promotion, GXBank is offering RM20 cashback with every RM 100 deposit or more, with additional RM8 when customer register their GXBank account with Duitnow. GXBank is also offering up to RM29.40 (4 x RM 4.90) rebates on GrabUnlimited accounts when customers link their GX Accounts to their Grab account.
