Just earlier this week, we saw reports of when Samsung was going to launch their Galaxy S24 series next year, and now we’re also getting an early look into their midrange Galaxy A-series devices too. Renders of the upcoming Galaxy A35 has surfaced online, and it shows the Korean giant mostly keeping the same design philosophy as before but with some subtle tweaks here and there.
Serial leakster OnLeaks has published early renders of the Galaxy A35 on the internet, and for the most part it’s a very recognisable Samsung design. You get the three cameras on the back, one on top of another—an undeniably Samsung look. There’s also what appears to be a similarly sized 6.6-inch flat display with rather thick bezels all around it.
However, these renders do also hint at the first change Samsung is making to the Galaxy A35 compared to its predecessor, as it seems that the Galaxy A35 will adopt the ‘Infinity-O’ punch hole cutout for the front camera. In comparison, the Galaxy A34 (and previous Galaxy A3X smartphones) used the older teardrop notch to house the front camera.
Elsewhere, the side frame surrounding the chassis of the Galaxy A35 is still mostly flat, though with a slight softness to them like the iPhone 15 series. The most noticeable design update also happens to be here on the sides, specifically surrounding the volume and power buttons. Samsung is apparently adding a small bump that raises the power button and volume rocker ever so slightly away from the chassis.
Of course, we’ll still have to wait till it actually launches, perhaps alongside the Galaxy A55, in the future to know just how exactly it’ll look like. The Galaxy A34 debuted back in March of this year, so chances are that we can expect it in March of next year too, though based on how Samsung is moving up the Galaxy S24 series launch to January, we could maybe see the Galaxy A35 debut in February instead.
