Maxis is collaborating with Blueshark, the company that offers electric scooters with swappable batteries, and EV Connection (EVC), the operator of JomCharge EV charging network, to accelerate the adoption of eMobility solutions. Under the collaboration, Maxis will be providing its 4G and 5G network connectivity solutions to Blueshark and EVC to support the eMobility needs of their electric vehicle (EV) assets and infrastructure.
The collaboration was announced in conjunction with the E-Mobility Asia (EMA) 2023 exhibition where Maxis is the official smart mobility solution provider for the event that’s held from 22nd to 24th November at KL Convention Centre. The ceremony was witnessed by Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.
Besides providing connectivity, Maxis will also explore innovative digital solutions with both parties to accelerate the application of new technologies within the EV ecosystem. Maxis will develop an ESG dashboard to help Blueshark customers measure and analyse their carbon footprint through their electric scooters.
The proposed dashboard will leverage on Maxis’ end-to-end capabilities spanning cloud, data analytics and Internet of Things (IoT). Maxis’ 4G and 5G solutions will provide Blueshark’s fleet with essential connectivity while ensuring secure and reliable data collection for the dashboard with full API integration. It will also provide connectivity to Blueshark’s battery swap stations across Malaysia to help them analyse and manage their battery inventory.
Blueshark Ecosystem Sdn Bhd’s Group COO (ASEAN) Jin Chan said, “Blueshark’s edge is in our app-to-bike connectivity and with constant two-way data flows, our customers can monitor and track their vehicle stats in real-time, seamlessly and instantly. This means that our app needs to be always connected and lag-free to provide riders with an always-on experience. Thanks to Maxis, we are now able to power up our robust connected ecosystem and IoV (Internet of Vehicles) solutions to their full potential for the benefit of our riders.”
