Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 specs

There’s a good reason why Microsoft has deemed this its most powerful laptop yet. Under the hood, the Surface Laptop Studio 2 comes with not just a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13800H processor, it also features an Intel Gen3 Movidius 3700VC VPU AI accelerator, that’s essentially an AI coprocessor to take care of AI workloads such as Windows Copilot. The local units will come with up to 32GB of RAM, up to a 1TB SSD and has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card too.

As for its display, you’ll find the same three-in-one adjustable display as before, allowing you to transform it from a conventional laptop into a tablet of sorts, or meet in the middle by puling the display closer to you. It’s a 14.4-inch, PixelSense Flow display with a 2400 x 1600p resolution in Microsoft’s signature 3:2 aspect ratio, with a peak brightness of 650nits, a contrast ratio of 1500:1, full coverage of the sRGB colour gamut and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 over it and it supports touch input too along with stylus support.

Microsoft says that the Surface Laptop Studio 2 should be good for up to 18 hours of typical usage. There’s also a hardware TPM 2.0 chip, Windows Hello sign in via the FHD Surface Studio webcam, a quad speaker setup and a touchpad with Surface Precision Haptic support. You’ll also find two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a Surface Connect port for charging, a USB-A 3.1 port, a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm headphone jack for I/O.
