RedMagic might be more well known for their gaming smartphones, but they’ve recently dipped their toes into offering gaming accessories too such as mechanical keyboards and RGB GaN chargers. Their latest product to hit our shores then is the RedMagic Cyberbuds DAO true wireless earbuds, a futuristic looking pair of buds that, as its name suggests, has a cyberpunk-themed design.
The Cyberbuds DAO does claim to pack a lot of hardware here, with 11mm linear graphene diaphragm drivers powered by a dual-core Qualcomm S5 sound platform, with an accompanying dongle powered by a Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 chip. These allow it to offer up to 28ms low latency audio when in gaming mode via the dongle, as low as 39ms in usual Bluetooth mode, as well as 48dB adaptive active noise cancelling all in a transparent earbud design that you can control via touch.
In the box, you’ll also get not just the earbuds and charging case, but a wireless charging stand too. This wireless charging stand even comes with a physical volume knob on it, as well as two USB-C ports for you to connect the dongle to, while the other port lets you hook it up to a device that doesn’t have Bluetooth support. This wireless charging stand as well as the charging case meanwhile also has that oh so crucial RGB lighting that can be customised.
Other features of note include 35mAh batteries on each earbud, while the charging case itself has a 350mAh battery. They support the AAC, SBC, LE Audio, LHDC 5.0 and aptX audio codecs. To configure your own EQ though if you don’t like how it sounds in the box, you can download the Goper app from the Play Store and App Store to fine tune how the Cyberbuds DAO sounds.
The RedMagic Cyberbuds DAO TWS however won’t be cheap, especially considering all the tech its packing. These earbuds are priced at RM1,499, and are available for purchase on the official RedMagic store on Lazada, and at time of writing are available with a RM150 discount too.
