After launching the fastest public EV charging station in Borneo last month, Gentari has just deployed another DC fast charger in Kuching. The new Gentari charger is located at CityOne Megamall, Kuching and it’s a 120kW DC charger unit with two CCS2 nozzles.

According to the JomCharge app, the DC charger that pushes 60kW for each nozzle is priced at RM1.40 per minute. That means a quick 20-minute session to get about 20kWh of charge would cost you RM28. At the time of writing, the charger isn’t live yet on the Setel app and you’ll have to use the JomCharge app for now if you wish to use the charger.

Interestingly, the 180kW and 50kW DC fast chargers at ICOM Square are still free to use at the time of writing. When Gentari x Sarawak Energy launched the EV charging location, it was announced that the chargers would be available for free during the trial period throughout the month of September.
