After months of teasing the single-motor Smart #1 Premium, the Smart #1 Brabus is finally making its official debut in Malaysia during the International Electric Mobility Showcase that’s happening this week. This is your chance to see the top-of-the-line variant of the Smart #1 EV uncovered in its full glory. On top of that, Smart Malaysia is also offering visitors a chance to test drive the Smart #1 Brabus during the event.
According to Smart Malaysia, the Smart #1 Brabus will be making its debut in Hall 5 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 5th October 2023. The booth will be open from 4th to 6th October 2023 between 9am to 6pm. Visitors are also invited to register their interest in the EV online.
As you can tell from the Brabus name, this is the high-performance variant which offers more sporty design elements and quicker acceleration. To differentiate itself from the Premium and Pro variants, the Smart #1 Brabus gets a Sporty front hood, 19″ Dynamo Alloys with Red Caliper, Sporty Rear spoiler, dark smart #1 emblems as well as a Brabus Emblem. You also get a darker interior with red highlights, red stitching and even red seat belts.
The Brabus variant with twin motors driving all four wheels can deliver an insane 315kW (422hp) and 543Nm of torque. It can do 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds but the range is slightly lower at up to 400km on a WLTP cycle. As for charging, it supports 150kW DC fast charging as well as 22kW AC.
Smart Malaysia has indicated that the Smart #1 Brabus will be priced at around RM250,000. You can already book your Smart #1 in Malaysia via the official app by placing a refundable RM1,000 deposit. Deliveries are expected to start in the coming months.
