Sony has launched a new variant for its LinkBuds S wireless active noise cancellation earbuds in collaboration with the renowned singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. While there are no major changes made to the limited edition release, there are still a couple of things that made them different from the standard LinkBuds S.
For starters, the LinkBuds S x Olivia Rodrigo are offered in a brand-new violet marble pattern that was apparently designed by the songstress herself. Since they are using the same recycled plastics similar to the Earth Blue colourway, the patterns of each LinkBuds S x Olivia Rodrigo are different.
Aside from that, the earbuds are also accompanied by two custom equaliser settings that can be accessed through the Sony Headphones Connect app. Said to be crafted by Olivia together with her longtime producer and co-songwriter Daniel Nigro, one of the EQ settings is specifically tuned for her newly released album, GUTS while the other one is meant for her debut album, the 2021’s SOUR.
GUTS has also been mixed in Sony’s 360 Reality Audio which can be enjoyed through selected music streaming services such as Tidal. To complete the deal, the limited edition earbuds also come in their own packaging that features Olivia Rodrigo’s butterfly logo.
Even though this limited edition LinkBuds S x Olivia Rodrigo release has just been announced to the world today, you are already able to purchase it from Sony Malaysia’s online store at RM599. However, you have to wait for a few weeks before you can start using it though as delivery will only start on 1 November.
