MSI back-to-college sale sees up to RM5,000 in rebates on their gaming and productivity laptops

MSI has announced a new promotion for their laptops with the ‘Gear Up for College’ campaign. Aimed at students who are about to start their university life as well as those returning to campus, MSI’s Gear Up for College campaign is happening now and will last till 16 October 2023.

Available at the MSI Malaysia website as well as their authorised retailers nationwide, MSI is putting on sale a number of different laptops from various different categories, targeting everyone from casual gamers to the more hardcore crowd as well as budding creatives who would want a powerful yet portable machine. MSI is offering up to RM5,000 off on these laptops, and selected laptops will also come with a limited bundle for free.

For the casual gamer at college, MSI is putting up their Cyborg and Katana series gaming laptops on sale for as low as RM4,499. With the Cyborg series, you’ll get 12th Gen Intel Core processors with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics cards, while the Katana series offers both 15.6-inch and 17-inch displays, up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics.

If you’re a bit more of a competitive gamer who would be spending your precious time out of class on the battlefield, the MSI Raider lineup of gaming laptops may be more up your alley. Starting at RM14,999, it’s certainly more expensive but you’re getting some serious hardware like 12th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX processors, a 240Hz display, and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU.

Those of you who prefer to be on Team Red meanwhile will also find MSI’s AMD-powered options on sale during the Gear Up for College campaign, with the likes of the Alpha 17 and Bravo 15 on offer with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX, while for graphics you get up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card. The Alpha 17 will be on sale for RM9,499, while the Bravo lineup starts at just RM3,399.

Not every student though is a gamer at heart, but if you’re studying something that still requires powerful and portable hardware, the MSI Stealth Studio lineup offers NVIDIA Studio certified graphics cards, QHD+ displays and up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900H processor. These will start at RM7,999, while the regular MSI Stealth laptops are also on sale starting at RM5,799.

Lastly, if all you need is a regular laptop for nothing more than light work, web browsing and streaming some Netflix on your time off, the MSI Modern series are simple, no frills laptops that start at just RM1,999 during the Gear Up for College sale.
