Astro just announced that their in-house apps SYOK and My Astro are now available for customers using the Ultra and Ulti Boxes. This, along with 12 other premium apps already available to Astro Ultra and Ulti subscribers, means Astro now has the whole range of streaming services – from radio to podcasts as well as movies and Video on Demand (VoD).
For those who don’t know, SYOK is a local lifestyle and entertainment app, created in-house by Astro. Meanwhile, My Astro is a portal that helps Astro customers manage their Astro accounts right on the TV screen.
With SYOK, customers not only can enjoy over 60 online radio channels, but they also have access to podcasts in multiple languages, including Selebriti Podcast featuring celebrities such as Ziana Zain, Dato’ Sheila Majid, Moon Parenting Tips, Master Kong Paranormal Cases, Raagavil Marma Desam, Pei Diary with Lingkesvaran, and many more.
My Astro meanwhile allows users to manage their accounts (view balance, subscription details etc.), pay their Astro Bills, purchase add-ons to their subscriptions and even upgrade their accounts to different packages. The app is also available on mobile devices (iOS/Android).
Astro subscribers can now enjoy up to 14 different premium apps – Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Viu, ZEE5, WeTV, HBO GO, iQIYI, TVBAnywhere+, BBC Player, beIN SPORTS CONNECT, Qalbox, Astro GO, plus the two new apps, My Astro and SYOK.
