Tesla Cyberspoon for McFlurry: A product that is so absurd, it even fooled Elon Musk

A majority of the Malaysian public most likely knew Tesla as the famed electric car maker and among the current darling of the Madani government.  However, the company also love to come out with “unique” accessories from time to time and the latest in the list is this Tesla “Cyberspoon”.

Available only in China, the Cyberspoon was apparently inspired by the yet-to-be-released Cybertruck in collaboration with McDonald’s China. It is meant to go together with McFlurry and the fast food joint has even come out with a special Cybertruck-themed packaging for the popular dessert in conjunction with the promotion.

As you may expect, the Tesla Cyberspoon is a limited edition release with only 50,000 pieces made available to consumers. If you think that it is such an absurd accessory, you are not the only one – even its CEO, Elon Musk thought the Cyberspoon was fake.

Fake news afaik

This is not the first Cybertruck-inspired accessory

For a yet-to-be-released vehicle, Cybertruck is already quite a popular inspiration for many products out there. For one, I actually owned a Hot Wheels Cybertruck which is not only a real thing but is also much cheaper than the actual EV.

Jokes aside, Tesla itself previously released an official Cybertruck-inspired lifestyle product two years ago in the form of Cyberwhistle. Using the silhouette of the fully electric pickup as its design, the so-called limited edition release also has a polished finish

That being said, it was made from medical-grade stainless steel instead of an automotive-grade material which is definitely a wise choice. It is not known at the moment if Tesla plans to release the Cyberwhistle in Malaysia now that the company is already doing business in our market but if you need a price reference, the “premium collectable” is currently listed on Tesla Singapore’s online store for SGD70 (~RM240).

As for the actual Cybertruck itself, there is no real indication of whether the EV will be released here but then again, Tesla Malaysia’s website already has a dedicated section for it. So, never say never.
