Maxis’ Pakej 5G Rahmah postpaid and 5G phone bundle has just been revealed and they are offering more data and cheaper 5G phones than the recommended baseline offering. The Pakej 5G Rahmah offering is based on Hotlink’s latest Postpaid 70 plan with 5G and Maxis is offering extra rebates worth RM240 throughout the two-year device contract period.
As shared by Fahmi Fadzil on Twitter, the Hotlink Postpaid 70 costs RM70/month and it comes with 105GB of 5G data which also includes free data roaming in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. On top of that, users can get an Honor 90 Lite 5G for RM239 or a Samsung Galaxy A14 5G for RM219 on a 24-month contract. With the device bundle, Maxis offers RM10 x 24 month rebate which brings the monthly postpaid commitment to RM60/month.
For eligible B40 users, the Honor 90 Lite 5G can be yours for only RM119 while the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is going for RM99 with the 24-month postpaid contract. You can learn more about Maxis’ Pakej 5G Rahmah postpaid and phone bundle here.
Under the announced Pakej 5G Rahmah initiative, telcos are told to offer a 5G postpaid plan with 60GB of data for RM60/month with a 5G smartphone bundle for RM240. On top of that, the first 100,000 eligible B40 users are entitled to get an additional RM120 subsidy which will reduce the price of the 5G phone further. The Pakej 5G Rahmah plans are open for subscription from 31st August until 31st December 2023.
Besides the postpaid plan, Maxis is also offering a cheaper fibre broadband and postpaid bundle which starts from as low as RM69/month. As indicated in their flyer, you can get a 30Mbps home fibre and postpaid plan for RM69/month while the 100Mbps home fibre and postpaid option costs RM89/month.
