Realme 11 Pro 5G Malaysia: No 200MP camera but still has a Dimensity 7050, ‘Italian’ design

Realme has just launched the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G which offers a lot of hardware at its sub-RM2,000 price tag. If you were looking for pretty much the same device but at a lower price tag, then there’s also the Realme 11 Pro 5G. This non-Plus model loses out the 200MP camera on the back, but otherwise is nearly identical to the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G.

Realme 11 Pro 5G Malaysia pricing and availability

The Realme 11 Pro 5G is available in just one configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and is priced at RM1,499. It will go on sale from today onwards on the official Realme store on Lazada and Shopee as well as their physical stores and retail partners nationwide.

For those of you who are planning to get the Realme 11 Pro 5G on its first day of sales, you’ll be able to snag a 1-to-1 exchange in the first 7 days of purchase, an additional 6 months of extended warranty, an interest-free six month instalment plan and a chance to win a Realme Handheld Vacuum. Those who get it at selected retail outlets meanwhile will stand a chance to win a Gucci bag worth RM10,000, while until 27 July you’ll also be able to get a limited edition Realmeow figurine.

Realme 11 Pro 5G specs

The Realme 11 Pro 5G is pretty much identical to the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G, barring a few minor downgrades primarily in the camera department. The non-Plus model now has a dual rear camera setup only in the huge circular camera island on the back, housing a main 100MP, f/1.8 camera alongside a 2MP, f/2.4 depth sensor. In front meanwhile there’s a 16MP, f/2.5 selfie camera. The last minor downgrade to the Realme 11 Pro 5G is a slightly slower fast charging speed, with its 5,000mAh battery capping out at 67W.

But other than that though, the Realme 11 Pro 5G shares everything else with the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G. This means the same unique look designed by former Gucci Prints designer Matteo Menotto, with a ‘lychee’ vegan leather finish that was inspired by the city of Milan, Italy. Turn it around meanwhile and you’ll find a 6.7-inch, FHD+ curved AMOLED display with an up to 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 950nits and full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Under the hood the Realme 11 Pro 5G packs a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7050 upper midrange system-on-chip with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It runs Android 13 out of the box with RealmeUI 4.0 skinned over it. There’s also stereo speakers, an under display fingerprint scanner and support for 5G, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6. The Realme 11 Pro 5G will be available in Sunrise Beige, Oasis Green and Astral Black.
