After offering it as a limited beta, Samsung has finally released its Galaxy Enhance-X app for more premium Galaxy smartphones. This is Samsung’s AI-powered image optimiser app which helps to enhance your photos with minimal effort. This includes removing unwanted blur, shadows, moire patterns or even making your images pop with HDR.
The Galaxy Enhance-X app is now available on the Galaxy Store and is offered for the Galaxy S20 series and above, the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold series, as well as the Galaxy Note 20 series. After installing, you’ll need to grant it permission to access your saved photos.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy Enhance-X is a one-stop solution to make comprehensive yet intuitive enhancements to your picture. Utilising deep learning and AI, it can automatically refine any visual noise, blur and low details, to significantly improve the image quality.
Besides the one-tap fix, you can also make other refinements including expanding the dynamic range of the image by levels, removing reflections, lens distortion or even upscaling the image resolution. It works even for downloaded photos or photos captured on different camera apps.
Samsung added that the Galaxy Enhance-X is also great at restoring your old or damaged photos. Using generative AI, it can maintain face details including expressions as captured in the original photo while making the shot clearer and more accurate.
