Besides the MacBook Air 15, the Apple Mac Studio with the latest M2 chips is now available for purchase in Malaysia. While it costs more than the M1-powered versions, the new Mac Studio for 2023 comes with significant performance upgrades, improved wireless connectivity and it can support up to eight 4K displays at the same time.

The new Mac Studio with M2 chips is officially priced from RM9,499 in Malaysia for the base model which gets a M2 Max chip (12-core CPU, 30-core GPU, 16-core Neural engine), 32GB unified memory and 512GB SSD storage. If you want the performance of the M2 Ultra, it starts from RM18,999 for the 24-core CPU, 60-core GPU and 32-core Neural engine, with 64GB of unified RAM and 1TB SSD.

If money is no object, a fully maxed-out M2 Ultra Mac Studio would cost you RM38,199. This includes its range-topping 24-core CPU, 76-core GPU and 32-core Neural Engine option, with maxed-out 192GB Unified Memory and 8TB SSD.

Take note that the display, keyboard and mouse are not included. The 27″ 5K Retina Apple Studio Display is priced from RM6,999 for the standard glass and RM8,299 for the nano-texture glass version.

At the time of writing, you can order your Mac Studio from the official online Apple Store and it will be shipped in 3-5 business days. If you pick the 192GB unified memory option, it will take 2-3 weeks to ship. You can learn more about what’s new with the 2023 Mac Studio in our early post here. If you haven’t seen it yet, do check out our review of last year’s Mac Studio with M1 Ultra.
