The Ora Good Cat is not only one of the cheapest but it is also the cutest-looking EV in Malaysia right now. If you’re interested, GWM Malaysia and TNG Digital are currently running a campaign where you can get up to RM60 in TNG eWallet credit when you take this EV for a test drive.
Test Drive Ora Good Cat and get up to RM60 TNG eWallet credit
The Ora Good Cat Test Drive campaign is running from 12th June to 12th July 2023 and it is limited to the first 6,000 successful registrants. According to Touch ‘n Go eWallet’s promo page, you can get RM10 eWallet credit when you complete the test drive registration form and get a RM50 TNG eWallet Reload PIN when you complete the test drive.
Take note that this campaign is only valid if you book your test drive via TNG eWallet and it isn’t applicable if you sign up for the test drive on other platforms. While the RM10 eWallet credit is limited to the first 6,000 redemptions, the RM50 TNG eWallet PIN is limited to the first 1,800 users who have signed up for the test drive and completed the test drive at the partner’s test drive centres. The campaign will cease once the RM10 eWallet credit and the RM50 TNG eWallet Reload PIN have been fully utilised or when the campaign ends, whichever comes first.
The RM10 eWallet credit will be credited within 7 business days after registration. Meanwhile, the RM50 TNG eWallet reload pin will be given by the Partner’s appointed personnel. According to the registration form, the Ora Good Cat test drive is available at the following location:
- CS Kiara Auto (Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur)
- Go Auto Sales (Shah Alam, Selangor)
- Superhub Auto Services (USJ & Puchong, Selangor)
- G-Mart Corporation (Kajang/Bangi, Selangor)
- Seremban Victory Credit (Seremban, Negeri Sembilan)
- CS Euro Auto (Butterworth, Penang)
If you don’t see the GWM Ora Good Cat Ride ‘n Reload banner on the home screen, you can scroll down to “Promotions” and click “More”.
Ora Good Cat priced from RM139,800
The Ora Good Cat comes in two variants in Malaysia. The base 400 Pro model equipped with a 47.8kWh battery is priced at RM139,800, while the higher-spec 500 Ultra with a larger 63.1kWh battery is priced at RM169,800. This compact hatchback EV comes with a 5-year/150,000km warranty, an 8-year/180,000km battery warranty and 5 times free service.
In terms of charging, both models support up to 6.6kW AC charging and up to 60kW of DC fast charging. On a dedicated AC charger, it takes up to 10 hours to fully charge the Good Cat 500 Ultra, while 30-80% takes just 40 minutes with a DC charger. The Good Cat 400 Pro comes with a claimed mileage of up to 400km while the 500 Ultra is rated for up to 500km mileage on a single charge. Take note that GWM uses the more lenient NEDC cycle, so expect lower real-world mileage compared to the stricter WLTP cycle.
Whichever model you pick, both Ora Good Cat options get a single motor pushing 105kW (141hp) and 210Nm of torque. From our test, the Good Cat can get from 0-100km/h in 9.29 seconds for the 500 Ultra model and it has a top speed of 160km/h.
If you prefer to subscribe to an Ora Good Cat, GoCar is offering the Ora Good Cat 400 Pro on a subscription plan from as little as RM1,460/week or you can rent it from RM29.90/hour.
