NVIDIA and Microsoft have announced that PC Game Pass members will soon be able to play selected games on GeForce Now. This will enable users to play PC games over the cloud on any GeForce Now-supported device which includes low-spec PCs, MacBooks as well as mobile devices. All you’ll need is a stable internet connection, preferably fibre broadband.
According to the announcement, the support for PC Game Pass on NVIDIA GeForce Now will be rolled out in the months ahead and it will cover select PG games from the library. According to Microsoft, they are excited about its future to grow the industry, bring great new first-party titles every year, give partners more ways to deliver and access games and offer multiple ways to play all of them, wherever our players want to play.
In the same announcement, Microsoft revealed that they are seeing 46% year over year in people playing PC games on Game Pass. The game subscription service is said to be growing with overall subscription revenue reaching nearly USD 1 billion (about RM4.62 billion) last quarter.
Microsoft also aims to release at least four first-party games a year on top of their current efforts to grow existing communities that they have fostered over the years like The Elder Scrolls Online, Sea of Thieves, Minecraft, Forza and more. In the last five years, their teams across Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda have shipped 10 games with over 10 million players each life to date. This includes new IPs such as Sea of Thieves and Groudned, to franchises such as Minecraft Legends and Elder Scrolls Online. Microsoft added that its first-party games currently have over 150 million monthly active users and they are committed to investing in new franchises and creating the most diverse line-up of games from any company in the industry.
Microsoft’s PC Game Pass has officially launched in Malaysia last year and it currently costs RM15/month. Meanwhile, NVIDIA’s GeForce Now officially launched in Malaysia recently with special pricing for Yes 5G customers. Yes customers can enjoy GeForce Now for RM30/month or RM300/year.
