You can now rent BYD Atto 3 through Hertz Malaysia for just RM150 per day

Hertz has recently expanded its electric vehicle (EV) footprint in Malaysia by adding the BYD Atto 3 to its fleet. To mark the occasion, you are now able to rent the popular EV with a rather huge discount.

Specifically, Hertz Malaysia is offering Atto 3 with a starting price of just RM150 per day as opposed to its standard daily rental rate of RM480. This means you are looking at a discount of over 60%.

As a comparison, it currently costs RM179 per day to rent an EV through the app-based GoEV service by GoCar. While the differences may not seem much, GoCar utilises a much older EV in the form of the pre-facelift second-generation Nissan Leaf.

As part of the experience, customers will be provided with a ChargEV card which will allow them to replenish the Atto 3’s battery during their time with the EV. In addition to that, the rental package comes with unlimited mileage.

There is one catch though: the Atto 3 can only be rented through certain Hertz branches in Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor Bharu. Among them includes Soho Suite KLCC, SkyPark Subang, KLIA, KLIA2, Georgetown, and Persada Johor International Convention Centre.

In addition to that, do note this offer only applies to bookings that are made through Hertz Malaysia’s website and you have to enter the “EVATTO3” promo code in order to activate the discount. On the other hand, this offer will last until the end of this year, so you can take your time to plan the perfect EV road trip.

With more than 1,000 units have made their way to consumers last month, the BYD Atto 3 is currently the most popular EV in Malaysia. Given the huge discounts that Hertz Malaysia is offering at the moment, this is the perfect opportunity to have a lengthy hands-on experience with the EV which has a NEDEC range rating of over 400km.

Represented by Sime Darby Motors in our market and Singapore, Hertz first established its EV fleet in Malaysia last year by acquiring 15 units of the Hyundai Kona Electric e-Lite. If you are interested, the RM150 daily rental deal also applies to the model although you have to input “EVELITE” as the promo code instead.
