If you are currently a Disney+ Hotstar subscriber and own a Samsung Smart TV or Smart Monitor, you are now able to stream your video content natively on the big screen. The Disney+ Hotstar app is finally available on Samsung’s Tizen-powered Smart TV platform and you can download it now in Malaysia.
The Disney+ Hotstar app is about 10MB in size and you can download it from the Samsung “App Store” by going to Apps and searching for “Disney”. To log in, you’ll need to go through an SMS OTP verification and create a user profile if you haven’t already. The user profile allows you to set content preferences as well as parental controls.
A Disney+ Hotstar subscription costs RM54.90 for 3 months in Malaysia and it offers unlimited video streaming on your smartphone, tablet, computer and Smart TV. Besides Samsung, the native Disney+ Hotstar app is also available on LG TV, Android TV and Apple TV. To watch content in 4K Ultra HD, you’ll need a compatible 4K device and a steady internet connection of at least 25Mbps.
