While not out yet, there are some things we already know about the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, as Xiaomi have been teasing it out on the Redmi Weibo account. For starters, the device is set to be powered by the brand new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, Qualcomm’s latest upper midrange processor that’s perhaps closer to the old Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 than it is to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 it replaced. Unless any other manufacturer springs a surprise, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo would be the first smartphone to use this processor. complete with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
The Redmi Weibo account is also boasting that the display will feature bezels thinner than that of the iPhone 14, with a chin that’s just 2.22mm thick and side bezels just 1.42mm thick. This gives it a total screen-to-body ratio of 93.45%, with the whole device measuring 7.9mm in thickness and weighing 181 grams. The display will also support 12-bit colour, HDR10+ and features a 120Hz refresh rate too, along with 1920Hz PWM dimming and SGS Low Blue Light Certification.
