Samsung has just only launched their latest Galaxy A lineup for the year, but if you don’t mind last year’s Galaxy A73 instead, you may be in for a better deal here as it’s now available with a RM400 discount. This means that Samsung’s best midranger from last year can be yours for just RM1,699, down from its original launch price of RM2,099.
The deal is being offered by local retailer KTS Cellular. You simply need to head over to KTS’ website, select the Galaxy A73 and upon check out, you’ll want to key in the promo code PROMOA73 at the check out page. Once you double check that the price has been reduced to RM1,699, you can then make your payment. This deal won’t be around forever though, as the promo code will only be valid from now till the 30th of April.
As a quick recap, the Galaxy A73 was the most powerful option in last year’s Galaxy A product stack, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s a microSD card slot for expandable storage too. It comes with Android 12 out of the box, but seeing as Samsung had guaranteed at least four Android OS upgrades and five years of security patches, you still have another three Android versions and four years of security patches to go if you get one now.
Elsewhere, the Galaxy A73 packed a large 6.7-inch, FHD+ Super AMOLED display that has the Infinity-O punch hole cutout up top. It’s capable of a 120Hz refresh rate too and has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 over it for scratch resistance.
In the camera department meanwhile, the Galaxy A73 has a quad camera setup on the back, with a main 108MP camera with OIS flanked by a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro sensor and a 5MP bokeh lens. Selfies meanwhile get taken care of by a 32MP front facing camera.
Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The Galaxy A73 also has stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IP67 dust and water resistance rating along with support for 5G, NFC, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. It’s available in black, white, blue, peach and mint colourways.
