Asus released a couple of limited special editions for their ROG Phone 6 gaming smartphone late last year, such as the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition and the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition. While the device itself is mostly unchanged from the ROG Phone 6D and the ROG Phone 6 it’s based on, it’s the extra stuff that comes along with the phone that would really be of interest to fans and collectors alike.
If you’re still on the fence about getting one of these limited edition devices though, you might be pleased to know that Asus is now giving the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition and ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition a RM1,000 discount. You’ll be able to find them on sale with the discount on their official Shopee store, with the promotion lasting from now till the end of March. Here’s how much they’ll cost:
With the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition, you’re basically getting the ROG Phone 6D with all of the complementary accessories to go along with it. This means a special ROG Batman box, a special Batman themed case, a Batarang SIM ejector tool along with a plastic stand and even a Bat Signal projector to light up your room with your choice of the Batman logo or a silhouette of the Caped Crusader.
The phone itself meanwhile packs a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ system-on-chip mated to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of storage. It runs Android 12 out of the box, but upon booting it up, you’ll be greeted with a special Batman theme preloaded onto it, with custom app icons, wallpapers and even a Batman themed animation when you charge the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition. Even the in-display fingerprint scanner icon has been replaced to now show the Batman logo instead. The back of the phone meanwhile is swaps out the RGB ROG logo for a light up Batman logo instead.
As for the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition, you too will find a host of Diablo accessories in a special box modelled after the Diablo Worldstone. It comes with a special case inspired by the Horadic Cube, with other accessories such as a map of the Sanctuary that you can light up with the included Fahir’s Light to show off hidden markings across the map. There’s also a Shield Blessing Aero case that can be illuminated too, while the SIM removal tool is in the shape of the Diablo logo. The phone itself comes with a Hellfire Red colourway with a flame effect finish, along with the Diablo logo on the back.
The phone though differs a little from the Batman Edition as the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition is based on the ROG Phone 6, meaning it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor instead, mated to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of storage. It runs Android 12 out of the box too, but again has Diablo-themed wallpapers, icons and animations preloaded into it.
Other than that though, both the Batman Edition and the Diablo Immortal Edition share most of the other specs. This means the same 6.78-inch, FHD+ AMOLED display capable of a 165Hz refresh rate with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass over it, a pair of AirTrigger 6 touch sensors on the side to act as trigger buttons when gaming, a triple rear camera on the back with a 50MP main camera flanked by a 13MP ultrawide shooter and a 5MP macro sensor along with a 12MP selfie camera up front.
Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a huge 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging, two USB-C ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, a pair of front-facing speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor. You’ll also find support for NFC, 5G, WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. If you just want the ROG Phone 6 though, you can read our review of it here.
