AirAsia has announced fixed low fares between West and East Malaysia during the upcoming Hari Raya 2023 holiday season. Similar to its Chinese New Year fixed low fares offer, customers can book flights between Kuala Lumpur/Johor Bahru to Sarawak destinations at RM199 one way or between Kuala Lumpur/Johor Bahru and Sabah destinations at RM249 one way. This low-fare offer is applicable for selected flights scheduled during the off-peak hours with flights arriving past midnight.

This fixed fares offer is available for booking from now until 30th April 2023 for the travel period between 19th to 21st April 2023 and 28th to 30th April 2023. For extra savings, BigPay customers can get 5% off all AirAsia (AK) flights until 31st December 2023 by using the promo code BIGPAY5.

Commenting on the fixed fares initiative, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said, “This is the second time this year I’m officiating AirAsia’s special ‘fixed fares’ for the festive season, and I’m deeply pleased that AirAsia is staying true to its commitment to support the government’s initiative to lower fares during these peak travel periods. We’ve come together as a nation to overcome the tough past few years and it’s commendable of AirAsia to ensure that inexpensive travel is an available option for many. These fixed fares will enable thousands of people to ‘balik kampung’ and reunite with their nearest and dearest in an affordable manner. I implore other industry players to follow suit and bring down the cost of travel ‒ particularly during the festive periods for more folks to enjoy making precious memories with their friends and families.”

AirAsia Aviation Group Limited Group CEO Bo Lingam said they currently have 164 aircraft in the group and they expect to bring their fleet number back to the full 229 aircraft in the coming months which will enable AirAsia to fly even more people at low fares. He thanked the Ministry of Transport for supporting AirAsia in their efforts to enable everyone to fly home this Raya.

Passengers travelling domestically during the Hari Raya holiday season are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours ahead of the scheduled departure time to avoid congestion. Guests are encouraged to check-in early via the AirAsia SuperApp which is available 14 days ahead of the departure date and to use the digital eBoarding pass for a seamless and hassle-free experience.

Here’s the list of flights that are applicable for the fixed low fares promo:
