If you’re a Maybank customer and using the MAE app, you might be facing difficulty loading the app. It’s not just you or your telco but Maybank is currently experiencing a communication error for its online banking application.

The MAE app appears to be inaccessible at around noon today and users have also complained about the same issue on Twitter. This means you won’t be able to make QR payments from your Maybank account.
Alternatively, you may perform your banking transactions in M2U app or the Maybank2u full website. Rest assured, we are working closely to rectify the issue. We appreciate your kind patience and cooperation. Thank you. (2)

However, at the time of writing, the Maybank2u website is still accessible. If you need to check your account balance or perform online payments or transfers, you can access the website from your mobile browser instead. Maybank has confirmed that the older M2U app and website are still operational. They have acknowledged the problem and are currently working on rectifying the issue as soon as possible. Maybank added that they have temporarily enabled SMS TAC through Maybank2u website.
