OnePlus 11 Malaysia: Everything you need to know

Following its global launch last week, the OnePlus 11 is finally in Malaysia. It’ll likely be the only flagship smartphone from the Chinese giant this year—they previously said there won’t be an 11 Pro or an 11T—meaning that if you’re in the market for a OnePlus smartphone this year, this might be only one to get.

OnePlus 11 Malaysia pricing and availability

The OnePlus 11 will come in two options, and will be available for pre-order from 16 February onwards till 24 February from their authorised retailers and their official store on Shopee and Lazada. Here’s how much they’ll cost:

  • OnePlus 11, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage – RM3,299
  • OnePlus 11, 16GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM3,599

If you do pre-order a OnePlus 11, you’ll get a free pair of OnePlus Buds Pro 2 true wireless earbuds too, along with a free bumper case, a year of extended warranty and a year of screen protection too as well as a Jackson Wang post card. From 25 February till 3 March meanwhile, you can also get the OnePlus 11 with the aforementioned benefits except the earbuds, with it replaced with a RM200 purchase-with-purchase discount instead.

OnePlus 11 specs

The OnePlus 11 features a large 6.7-inch, curved AMOLED display pushing a 3216 x 1440p display for a 525ppi pixel density, with a peak brightness of 1,300nits and an adaptive refresh rate allowing for 1-120Hz thanks to its LTPO 3.0 panel. It comes with support for Dolby Vision HDR too, with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus over it for scratch resistance, a marked improvement over the OnePlus 10T’s Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 11 of course comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system-on-chip, mated to up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Keeping all of that cool meanwhile is a cryo-velocity vapour chamber with a crystal graphene layer. The OnePlus 11 also comes with OxygenOS 13 out of the box, based on Android 13, with four years of Android OS upgrades and five years of security patches.

As for the cameras, the OnePlus 11 sees the return of the Hasselblad branding to their camera modules. The OnePlus 11 has a main 50MP, f/1,8 camera using the Sony IMX890 sensor, flanked by a 48MP, f/2.2 ultrawide camera using the Sony IMX 581 sensor along with a 32MP, f/2.0 telephoto shooter offering a 2x optical zoom. All of that gets rounded off with Hasselblad’s colours, Portrait Mode along with its XPan Mode for a superwide panorama shot. Up front meanwhile you’ll also find a 16MP, f/2.4 selfie shooter.

Other noteworthy specs include a large 5,000mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, which they claim can fully charge the OnePlus 11 in just 25 minutes. However, there’s no wireless charging here, nor is there an IP rating on the OnePlus 11. You do however get the alert slider, a feature that was conspicuously missing on the OnePlus 11T, along with stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as support for NFC, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 7. The OnePlus 11 will be available in Titan Black and Eternal Green.

We’ve already taken the OnePlus 11 for a spin, and at risk of spoiling the review, while it’s not a bad smartphone, it also didn’t exactly blow us away. You can read our full review of the OnePlus 11 here.
