After upgrading Maxis postpaid plans last year with 10GB of extra quota, the green telco has finally given its cheaper Hotlink Postpaid plans a permanent quota boost with up to 20GB of extra data. This offers more data for Hotlink postpaid users including those who are currently enjoying the free 10GB of extra data for the first 12 months.
The Hotlink Postpaid 40 which originally came with just 12GB of data now gets 30GB of data. Meanwhile, the higher Postpaid 60 is now upgraded from 30GB to 50GB of data per month. The internet quota upgrade is permanent and it takes effect starting today, 9th February 2023. The base Hotlink Postpaid 30 at RM30/month still retains its rather pathetic 2GB of quota.
All plans still come with unlimited calls and SMS, and you can enjoy a bill rebate of up to RM100 if you sign up for the plan online by 30th April 2023. The Postpaid 60 plan will provide a RM20/month rebate across 5 months while the Postpaid 40 plan will give you a RM10/month rebate across 6 months.
Before the upgrade, the Hotlink Postpaid 40 plan came with just 12GB of quota but they gave free 8GB of extra data for the first 12 months. Meanwhile, the Postpaid 60 plan only had 30GB of data but it gets bumped to 40GB of data for the first 12 months.
According to the FAQ, customers who subscribe before 9th February will be getting the enhanced quota automatically for free. The free 12-month quota upgrade will be removed and this includes any YouTube pass that you’ve subscribed to. Maxis assures that you will enjoy more quota than before and the removal of the old free data and YouTube pass will be happening in stages from 9th February to 3rd March 2023. Customers will be notified by SMS once the quota is upgraded and you can check via the Hotlink app.
