Small form factor PCs have slowly but surely grown from a niche category of desktops into its own thing, with more and more users seeking to cram as much hardware and performance they can into smaller and smaller cases. But for those of you who would rather just get a small form factor PC ready off the shelf rather than building one yourself Asus has just revealed their latest SFF prebuilt PC, the ROG G22CH.
The latest in their long running series of SFF prebuilt gaming PCs, the ROG G22CH is one of their smallest yet, coming in at just 10L in volume measuring 11.5 x 32.3 x 28.69cm. To put that into context, one of the more popular SFF cases you can buy out there, the Cooler Master MasterBox NR200, comes in at 18L, while the Fractal Node 202 with its slender chassis is still bigger at 10.2L. And yet despite its size, the ROG G22CH still manages to pack some incredible hardware, with an Intel B760 motherboard and up to an Intel Core i9-13900KF. Keeping that behemoth of a chip cool is no easy task, and so you have a choice between air cooling or a custom built AIO liquid cooler.
On top of that, the ROG G22CH comes with up to 32GB of DDR5 4800MHz RAM, up to 2TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage as well as up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics card. Incidentally, Asus did not specify what RTX 40 series graphics cards in particular will be in this case, but judging from its tiny build you will likely not find something as hot and powerful as the GeForce RTX 4080, but perhaps a more modest GeForce RTX 4070 Ti instead. The product page for the ROG G22CH though does list one current available option for graphics, which is the GeForce RTX 3070.
You’re also getting two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×1 port and a combo audio jack upfront, while for rear I/O you have a HDMI 2.0 port, a LAN port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports and a triple 7.1 channel audio output. Powering it all is a 600W 80+ Gold power supply, while for connectivity you also get WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. Being a desktop build also means that you could always choose to upgrade parts down the line if you wish, and Asus says that the case here features a toolless design for easy access to the internals.
If you’re interested, you’ll have to keep an eye for further details though, as Asus has not yet revealed any pricing and availability details for the ROG G22CH just yet.
