Realme is back with a few new midrange smartphones in Malaysia, namely the Realme 10 Pro and the Realme 10 Pro+. The latter in particular might be quite appealing to those wanting a budget phone with a large curved edge display.
The Realme 10 Pro and Realme 10 Pro+ are both already available for pre-order from now until the 15th of December at Realme Malaysia brand stores and authorised dealers, with the following prices:
If you do opt to pre-order one of these phones, you’ll also be able to get a free Realme Band 2 worth RM169, extended warranty of up to two years worth RM59 and a scratch and win card with 9 prizes to win worth up to RM2,999.
The Realme 10 Pro series will officially go on sale on the 16th of December onwards on Realme Malaysia’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada along with their brand stores and authorised dealers nationwide. Alternatively, early birds can also pre-order the base model Realme 10 Pro+ for just RM1,399 on 12 December, only on their official store on Lazada.
The Realme 10 Pro+ is the star of the show here, featuring a large 6.7-inch, 61° curved edge FHD+ AMOLED display, capable of pushing a 120Hz refresh rate. Covering the full DCI-P3 colour gamut, the display also has 2160Hz PWM dimming capabilities along with a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It is also able to push a peak brightness of 800nits and has HDR 10+ certification too. Realme says that the curved display is able to survive 28,000 10cm drops, and up to a 1.5m drop due to the 0.65mm thick double-reinforced glass.
Under the hood meanwhile is a MediaTek Dimensity 920 system-on-chip, which is actually the same processor found in the Realme 9 Pro+ too. It also comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, with a further 12GB of virtual RAM also available; Realme claims that this makes it have the most RAM in this price segment. The Realme 10 Pro+ also comes with Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13 out of the box.
In the camera department meanwhile is a triple rear camera setup with a main 108MP, f/1.75 camera flanked by an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide lens along with a 2MP, f/2.4 macro sensor. There’s also a 16MP, f/2.45 camera on the front of the Realme 10 Pro+ for all your selfie needs.
Other features of note include a 5,000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging, an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers and support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G and NFC. The Realme 10 Pro+ weighs just 173g and measures 7.78mm thin, and will be available in either Dark Matter or Hyperspace Gold colourways.
As for the Realme 10 Pro, it gets a much more standard design, featuring flat edges on the sides along with a regular flat display instead of the curved display on the Realme 10 Pro+. Specifically, the Realme 10 Pro has a 6.72-inch, FHD+ display that pushes a 120Hz refresh rate with a peak brightness of 680nits.
Under the hood meanwhile is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 system-on-chip mated to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It runs Android 13 out of the box, with the Realme UI 4.0 skin out of the box. As for the cameras, the Realme 10 Pro has the same 108MP, f/1.75 main camera as its Plus stablemate, however loses both the ultrawide and macro cameras. Instead, the Realme 10 Pro has a secondary 2MP portrait camera, along with a 16MP, f/2.45 selfie camera up front.
The Realme 10 Pro also features a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack a side mounted fingerprint sensor and support for WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and 5G connectivity.
