Realme Malaysia has revealed the pre-order promotion for their upcoming Realme 10 Pro 5G and Realme 10 Pro+ 5G smartphones. What’s interesting is that they’ve done this ahead of the 8 December launch of the smartphones which means we don’t know how much these devices will officially retail for just yet.
In a sense, it’s a blind pre-order where interested customers can head to Realme Malaysia’s official brand stores or their authorised dealers and place a pre-order for the device.
Pre-order customers will receive a Realme Band 2 worth RM169, an extended warranty of up to two years worth RM59 and on top of that, a Scratch and Win card. Yes, you’ll get a card with a total of 9 categories of products that you can win worth up to RM2,999 if you pre-order this smartphone.
There isn’t a whole lot of official information released about this device for the Malaysian market, but this phone has already launched in the Chinese market. The Realme 10 Pro+ 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There’s a 6.7″ Full HD+ AMOLED display upfront with a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the other hand, the Realme 10 Pro 5G packs a Snapdragon 695 processor and comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It also packs a 6.7″ Full HD+ display upfront, but it’s an LCD panel now, though it retails the 120Hz refresh rate. You can extend RAM with Realme’s Dynamic RAM extension (DRE) for an additional 8GB of virtual RAM, and both devices feature 5,000 mAh batteries.
Both smartphones pack 108MP main cameras, but the Realme 10 Pro 5G will only have one additional camera in the form of a 2MP depth sensor, while the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G will see an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera supporting its main shooter. Up front, both devices sport 16MP selfie shooters.
Now, although I said that we don’t officially know how much the device will retail in Malaysia for, there is already a price that has been leaked online by Twitter user @Sudhanshu1414. They claim that the Realme 10 Pro 5G will be priced at RM1,299 for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, while the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G will retail for RM1,799 for the variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Of course, this should be treated as a rumour and taken with a grain of salt, but considering their previous Realme 9 Pro series lineup, this isn’t too far off. If these prices prove true, the new devices will be sold at a bit more of a premium, but you also get more memory spec-for-spec.
