If you’re considering getting a brand-new Android tablet, Samsung Malaysia has announced a permanent price cut for its Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Tab S8 series. Their top-of-the-line Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is now RM500 cheaper than its official launch price.

The price revision takes effect from 3rd November and is only applicable for the WiFi-only version.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) features a 10.4″ TFT display which pushes a 2000×1200 pixels resolution and it also comes with an S Pen. This updated 2022 model runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card. The S6 Lite comes with dual-speakers and it still has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For imaging, it gets an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. Powering the device is a 7,040mAh battery which is rated to last up to 15 hours of video playback. You can learn more on the official product page.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series
The Galaxy Tab S8 is Samsung’s current flagship tablet series that is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The biggest difference between the models is the display with the base S8 having an 11″ 2560×1600 pixels LCD display which pushes a 120Hz refresh rate. Moving up a notch is the S8+ which features a 12.4″ (2800×1752) Super AMOLED panel which also does 120Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10+, while the S8 Ultra has an even larger 14.6″ (2960×1848) Super AMOLED panel that also does 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The Galaxy Tab S8 series also comes with an S Pen.
The Tab S8 trio gets dual-camera setup for the rear with a 13MP main camera and a 6MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. Meanwhile, the front comes with a 12MP camera except for the S8 Ultra which has a notch that houses two 12MP front cameras for wide and ultra-wide. In terms of battery, the S8 has an 8,000mAh unit while the S8+ gets a larger 10,090mAh capacity. The Tab S8 Ultra has the biggest battery of the lot at 11,200mAh. All three support 45W fast wired charging via USB-C.
