Astro has expanded its fibre broadband offering with BizFibre for business. Besides providing high-speed internet with a WiFi 6 router, Astro is also bundling commercial TV packs which provide businesses with 100% legal content in a single bill.
Astro TV Commercial Pack + BizFibre Plans
Business owners especially restaurants, hospitals, clinics, health clubs and car service centres can show Astro TV content legally with its Commercial Pack + BizFibre Plan combo. The base Elite Pack offers 49 Astro TV channels with a total of 3 screens for RM1,412. The TV bundle comes with 10 starter, 17 classic, 5 prime and 17 sports channels for RM1,412/month. Customers can choose between 6 months of free BizFIbre 500Mbps or 3 months of free BizFibre 800Mbps.
If you need more screens to show Astro at your business premises, there’s the VIP Pack which costs RM2,212/month. It comes with 59 channels (10 starter, 25 classic, 7 prime and 17 sports) and a total of 5 screens. The VIP Pack comes bundled with free 12 months BizFibre 500Mbps or free 6 months BizFibre 800Mbps.
The highest offering is the VIP Plus Pack which offers a total of 69 channels (10 starter, 32 classic, 10 prime and 17 sports) and a total of 8 screens. VIP Plus pack customers can also pick to enjoy free 24 months of BizFibre 500Mbps or free 12 months of BIzFibre 800Mbps.
All three bundles come with VIP Sports Passes which provide access to premium sports content such as the World Cup and Euro.
Standalone Astro BizFibre broadband plans
Business customers that don’t need commercial TV packs are able to subscribe to the standalone BizFibre broadband plans. The 500Mbps plan costs RM239/month, while the higher 800Mbps option costs RM299/month. Astro is bundling the first Mesh WiFi for free, and if you need more, you can add an extra Mesh node for RM10/month. As usual, all fibre broadband plans are tied to a 24-month contract.
During the launch, Astro Group CEO Designated Euan Smith said “As businesses become more global and competitive, it is critical that everyone from entrepreneurs to large companies, has better access to faster and more reliable connectivity. SMEs are the backbone of the Malaysian economy, accounting for 97% of total business establishments. They generate 38% of the GDP and provide half of the nation’s employment. We aspire to partner with SMEs, offering one-stop connectivity and entertainment solutions with world-class WiFi, plus engaging content that is 100% legal.”
“Through this service, SMEs will have peace of mind knowing that they are subscribed to a legal TV commercial package, one that provides their customers with better service. Listening to feedback from our commercial customers & prospects, we have designed our BIZfibre plans to enhance business performance through faster, more reliable, and stable connectivity,” he added.
Meanwhile, Astro Head of Enterprise Business, Kevin Ng said, “AstroBIZ, the enterprise arm of Astro, is pleased to introduce new premium commercial flexi packs bundled with BIZfibre at special introductory prices. We encourage commercial enterprises such as F&B outlets and hotels to only access content that are legal. Astro has invested substantially in high-quality live sports and entertainment for our customers over the years because we know how much they value it. We take a serious view of illegal streaming of content as it is important to ensure our legitimate commercial subscribers are not short-changed. Under the Copyright (Amendment) Act 2022, anyone caught streaming unauthorised content is liable to fines up to RM200,000, be imprisoned up to 20 years, or both for piracy.”
