Deal: The Poco C40 will be going for just RM11 this 11.11 on Shopee

Poco is perhaps best known for being one of the most value-for-money smartphone brands out there, even this might be pushing the limit. During the upcoming 11.11 sale, Poco is set to sell their entry-level Poco C40 for just RM11, down from its usual price of RM499—that’s a massive 97.8% discount!

Of course, there’s a catch here. The Poco C40 will only be available for just RM11 from 12am till 2am on Shopee during 11.11, while during the rest of the day the device will instead discounted to RM449. It’s also perhaps worth mentioning that there will only be a limited quantity of Poco C40 units available throughout the whole day so it’s very likely that the RM11 deal will run out very fast. Do note though that this is only for the base model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, with the 4GB RAM + 64GB model going for RM549 during 11.11, down from RM599.

The Poco C40 is admittedly a very entry-level device, housing a large 6.71-inch LCD display pushing a 720 x 1650p resolution. There’s also a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass over it for scratch resistance, though the exact type of Gorilla Glass used here is unspecified. It’s also a pretty hefty smartphone, weighing in at 204g and measuring 9.18mm thick.

Under the hood, the Poco C40 has a fairly unusual processor. Instead of your usual Qualcomm or MediaTek chip, the Poco C40 has a JLQ JR510, made by Shanghai-based company JLQ. It uses four Cortex-A55 performance cores running at 2.0GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at 1.5GHz. This gets mated to up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage. It comes with Android 11 out of the box, with the MIUI 13 for POCO skin over it.

In the camera department, the Poco C40 has a dual rear camera setup, packing a 13MP, f/2.2 main camera next to a 2MP, f/2.4 depth sensor. For selfies meanwhile you get a 5MP, f/2.2 front-facing camera. Both the front and back cameras are able to shoot in up to FHD resolution, though only at 30fps.

Elsewhere, you’ll find a large 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, though it only comes with a 10W charger in the box. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a microSD card slot for expandable storage and a 3.5mm headphone jack, along with support for 4G, WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0.
