Ugreen launches new 13-in-1 USB-C docking station with triple display support

As more and more people are now using thinner and lighter laptops, you’ll likely find yourself lamenting the lack of I/O ports that often come with such devices. The Apple MacBook Air for instance only has two USB-C ports, and so you’ll want to get a hold of a good USB-C dongle and the like. Ugreen though has now released a USB-C docking station that not only gives you some more USB ports, but also allows you to straight up have up to three external displays with their new USB-C Docking Station.

Packing a total of 13 ports, the Ugreen Docking Station packs two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a DisplayPort output, two HDMI ports, an Ethernet port and two USB-C ports on the back of the device, while in front there’s another USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, an SD card slot and a TF card slot. You’ll also find a power button on top with an LED indicator next to it.

With so much connectivity housed in this little docking station, you’ll be able to power up to three different displays thanks to the two HDMI ports and single DisplayPort at the back. If you’re running a MacOS device, this means three 4K displays running at 60Hz on top of your laptop, while if you’re using a Windows laptop, you’ll be able to push either three 4K displays at 60Hz or two 4K displays at 60Hz with a third running at an 8K resolution with a 30Hz refresh rate. Ugreen does however state that you’ll need to first install their DisplayLink drivers before using the triple display output on their docking station.

Furthermore, you can also use the Ugreen Docking Station to charge your smartphone at 15W speeds, as well as connect up to two external hard drives if you need to also hook up some more storage at your workspace. The Ethernet port meanwhile supports speeds of up to 1000Mbps too. You can also push up to 100W of power to your laptop via the docking station. Not all laptops will be able to make use of the docking station’s triple display output though; you can check their list of compatible laptops on the Ugreen website here.

As for pricing and availability, unfortunately the Ugreen Docking Station is currently only available in the US and the UK with a hefty USD329.99 (~RM1,564.65) price tag. It’s currently not yet available for purchase in Malaysia though, with it not currently listed on the official Ugreen store on Shopee or Lazada. For more about the Ugreen Docking Station, you can check out their product page here.

[UPDATE] : It turns out that the Ugreen Docking Station is coming to Malaysia after all, with a RM1,299 price tag. You can find out more about local availability here.
