Apple users will have to fork out more each month as the Apple One subscription bundle is getting a price increase of up to RM10. This shouldn’t come as a surprise since the Cupertino company has recently hiked up the pricing for its iPhone and iPad lineup, as the Ringgit is now trading at RM4.74 to one US Dollar.
Apple One now starts from RM29.90/month
The base Apple One subscription plan for Individuals now costs RM29.90/month which is RM10 more than before. It includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and iCloud+ with 50GB storage.
Meanwhile, the subscription for Apple One Family option which allows you to share with up to 5 people has increased by RM6 from RM33.90/month to RM39.90/month. It also includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and iCloud+ with 200GB of storage. The price for its highest Premier option has increased by RM9 from RM69.90/month to RM78.90/month. The Premier option shares the same perks but with larger 2TB iCloud storage and it also gets Fitness+.
Despite the price increase, it is still cheaper to get an Apple One bundle if you use at least two of Apple’s services. For Apple One Individual, you can save RM41/month with the bundle versus subscribing to all four services individually.
Price increase for Apple Music and Apple TV+
Looking at the individual Apple services, there’s a notable price increase for Apple Music and Apple TV+. Apple Music’s individual plan has increased from RM14.90/month to RM16.90/month while the family option has increased from RM22.90/month to RM25.90/month. That’s RM1 more than Spotify which costs RM15.90/month for individuals and RM24.90/month for families.
Fortunately, there’s no change for the Apple Music Student option which is still offered for RM8.90/month.
If you’re watching Apple TV+, you will be looking at paying RM10/month extra as Apple has increased the monthly subscription from RM19.90/month to RM29.90/month. Apple is still providing a free 3-month Apple TV+ when you buy a new device and redeem the offer within 90 days.
No revision for iCloud and Apple Arcade
Apple has not revised the pricing for its iCloud+ cloud storage. The base 50GB plan still costs RM3.90/month while the 200GB option costs RM11.90/month. The highest 2TB option is still going for RM39.90/month. Meanwhile, Apple Arcade which offers unlimited access to over 200 games is still priced at RM19.90/month.
