Apple’s latest iPhone 14 Plus which comes with a large 6.7″ display is now available in Malaysia. Malaysia is among the first-wave countries to get the new large-screen iPhone on 7th October 2022, just two weeks after the other iPhone 14 models went on sale locally.

Where to buy the iPhone 14 Plus in Malaysia?
If you prefer to buy the iPhone 14 Plus online, you can get it from the official Apple Online Store as well as Lazada and Shopee. The device is also available through authorised Apple resellers such as Machines, ITWorld, Switch, TMT and SenQ.
If you’re on a postpaid plan and don’t mind being tied to a 24 or 36-month contract, you can also get the iPhone 14 via Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile.
What’s new with the iPhone 14 Plus?
Similar to the iPhone 6, 7 and 8 series, the iPhone 14 Plus is essentially the larger iPhone that isn’t a “Pro” model. It gets a 6.7″ Super Retina XDR OLED display (without 120Hz ProMotion) and it runs on last year’s Apple A15 Bionic chip with a 5-core GPU. For taking pictures, the 14 Plus gets a dual-camera setup for the rear with a 12MP main and 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. Meanwhile, the front comes with a new 12MP selfie camera which now has autofocus.
The iPhone 14 Plus also gets IP68-rated dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, WiFi 6, 5G (when it’s available from a partner telco), MagSafe and Qi Wireless Charging. The charger is not included and it supports fast charging when you plug the provided USB-C to lightning cable into a compatible 20W USB-PD power adapter.
According to the spec-sheet, the iPhone 14 Plus provides up to 26 hours of video playback on a single charge, which is 6 hours more than the smaller iPhone 14 but still 3 hours short of the more expensive iPhone 14 Pro Max. You can learn more about the iPhone 14 series in our announcement post.
The iPhone 14 Plus is quite pricey no thanks to the current foreign exchange rates. However, if you could still find the older iPhone 13 Pro Max at authorised dealers, that would be a much better buy, especially with the ongoing discounts. A couple of weeks ago, we could find an iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB going for as low as RM4,849 which is merely RM150 more than the iPhone 14 Plus.
