Apple’s latest iPhone 14 series is finally here and this is the fastest iPhone release yet for Malaysia. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro lineup were announced on 8th September and it’s already available officially slightly over two weeks after the keynote event. This is an encouraging sign that Apple is prioritising Malaysia for its global release.
After pre-orders started on Malaysia Day, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are finally getting into the hands of customers today, 23rd September. Malaysia is among the second-wave countries to get it, just a week after first-wave countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore and Australia. The all-new 6.7″ iPhone 14 Plus will be released later on the 7th October 2022, and Malaysia is getting it at the same time as other first-wave countries.

Despite retaining the same price point in the US, the new iPhone models in Malaysia cost RM300-700 more than its predecessor no thanks to inflation and the weak ringgit. At the time of writing, USD 1 is trading at RM4.57, which is the highest since the 1998 Asian Financial Crisis.
If you’re thinking of picking up the iPhone 14 Plus, it doesn’t make sense at the moment as the superior iPhone 13 Pro Max is currently on sale with a huge discount. The iPhone 13 Pro Max currently costs merely RM50-150 more than the iPhone 14 Plus, and both are running on the same A15 Bionic chip with a 5-core GPU.
Where to purchase the iPhone 14 in Malaysia?
