Apple is going to fix the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max camera shake issue in a software update next week

If you’ve been on TikTok, Twitter, or some other type of social media platform, you would have at least heard about the Apple iPhone 14 camera shake problem that has been affecting users of the new phones. Today, Bloomberg reported that a software update to fix the issue will be released next week.

“The update will be released next week, according to the company, signaling it has already identified a solution,” wrote Mark Gurman for Bloomberg.

Gurman also pointed out that this is the second software update fix for the iPhone 14. On launch day—16 September, iPhone 14 users were already asked to update to iOS 16.0.1 to address a problem related to FaceTime.

For the past few days now, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users have posted a very strange problem whenever they’re trying to take a picture or video with a third-party app like TikTok, Snapchat, or Instagram—violent camera shakes. Apple’s own Camera app, however, was strangely working normally.

The problem is brought on by the iPhone’s optical image stabilisation hardware malfunctioning with third-party apps. Basically, the stabilisation technology is supposed to help avoid blurry photos.

The iPhone 14 Pro camera includes a 48-megapixel sensor for the main lens for the first time—and it’s one of the main upgrades for the new device. The phone also has a Dynamic Island at the top of the smartphone that displays data like navigation directions or the battery status of AirPods, amongst other things.

iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users can look forward to the software update sometime next week, but we do not know the exact date. Have you faced the same problem with your new device? Let us know below.
