Wiko returns to Malaysia with two smartphones priced under RM900

French-based smartphone maker Wiko has re-entered the Malaysian market with the launch of the Wiko T50 and Wiko T10. The last product release by Wiko Malaysia was in March 2021 when they introduced the Power U10 and U20.

Here’s the official pricing for the two Wiko smartphones:

  • Wiko T50 (6GB RAM + 128GB storage) – RM899
  • Wiko T10 (2GB RAM + 64GB storage) – RM429

The Wiko T50 will be available nationwide starting from 5th August 2022 and you can purchase it now via the official store on Shopee. The device comes in Aqua Green and Midnight Black, and Wiko Malaysia is providing Extra Bass Stereo Headphones as a free gift while stocks last.

Meanwhile, the more affordable Wiko T10 will be available for online purchase via Shopee on the 8th of August, and it will go on sale nationwide on the 12th August. Available in Emerald Green and Midnight Black, the T10 can be yours for only RM369 during Shopee’s 8.8 sale.

Wiko T50 hardware specs

Among the two, the Wiko T50 is their highest smartphone offering in Malaysia. It feature a 6.6″ Full HD+ LCD display and it runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which isn’t expandable via microSD.

For taking pictures, the rear gets a triple-camera setup featuring a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the little punch-hole on the top of the display houses a 16MP front camera.

Keeping the lights on is a modest 4,000mAh battery which supports 40W fast charging via USB-C. It claims to push 50% charge in just 20 minutes on the cable. This is a 4G LTE device with dual-SIM but it still runs on Android 11 out of the box.

Wiko T10 hardware specs

The Wiko T10 is the brand’s entry-level smartphone offering which comes with a 6.5″ HD+ LCD display. It runs on a MediaTek Helio A22 chip that’s mated to just 2GB of RAM. Onboard, it has 64GB of storage that can be expanded via a microSD card slot.

In the camera department, the rear gets a single 13MP main camera, while the tiny notch on the screen has a 5MP selfie shooter. Although it is the cheaper model, the T10 has a larger 5,000mAh battery and it supports 10W charging via USB-C. The Wiko T10 runs on Android 11 Go Edition and it supports 4G LTE with dual-SIMs.
