[ UPDATE 30/06/2022 1:20 ] According to the latest update by Maxis, their services are being restored gradually. You can try to turn airplane mode on/off again to reset your connection.

We would like to update our customers who were experiencing network disruptions earlier, that services are being restored gradually, and expect full restoration soon. We would like to once again thank our customers for their understanding and patience.

From our own experience, we are now able to connect to their 4G network on an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

[ UPDATE 30/06/2022 12:30 ] Maxis has acknowledged the current disruption to its network and they have provided the following statement:

We are aware that our customers have been experiencing service disruptions. Rest assured that our team is working hard to identify and resolve the matter as soon as possible. We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience, and apologise for the inconvenience during this time.

If you’re a Maxis user, you might be getting “No Signal” or “EDGE” connection on your phone this morning. It appears that Maxis is having a major issue with its 4G network which affects data services.

Maxis has not put out a statement yet but they have responded to individual complaints on Twitter. According to Maxis, they are having a technical issue at the moment and are working to restore their network as soon as possible. It isn’t clear how long it will take Maxis to restore their services fully and what is the actual cause of the problem. On Twitter, many users have complained about being unable to get things done online while there are others who also complained about not being able to receive SMS including online bank OTP.

If you get no signal on Maxis, you can turn airplane mode on/off to restart your reconnection. Voice calls and SMS still work on EDGE/2G but don’t expect to do anything online as mobile data is pretty much unusable.

We are told that this issue is affecting Maxis users in the Klang Valley. Are you having issues with your Maxis line this morning? Let us know in the comments below.
