Asus ROG Flow X13 2022 specs
Hardware-wise, the ROG Flow X13 will, as its name implies, have a 13.4-inch, 16:10 IPS display, with either an FHD, 120Hz panel or a 4K, 60Hz panel available for you to choose between. There’s more than just the resolution and refresh rate in differences though. The FHD panel covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut and has 500nits of brightness, while the 4K one has a 116% coverage of the sRGB colour gamut with a lower 450nits.
Regardless of which display you end up with of course it’ll still be a touch screen display, as the ROG Flow X13 is meant to be a 2-in1 convertible device. You can use it as a regular laptop, or fold it open to use as a tablet. Alternatively, you could also have it set up in ‘stand mode’ or ‘tent mode’ for when you just want the display when watching a movie or gaming with a controller. The hinge can be rotated 360° to fit almost any situation you need. Bundled with the ROG Flow X13 meanwhile is an Asus Pen stylus too.
Under the hood, you’re getting an AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS, mated to up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to a 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD, though the base model will have just half of those with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. Graphics meanwhile get handled by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 in the base model and the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti in the higher end one. Both have 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
If you opt for the higher end variant, you’ll also get the ROG XG Mobile eGPU, which in this case in the AMD Radeon RX6850M XT, the most powerful mobile graphics card in the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series. The ROG Flow X13 also features a MUX switch, which lets you bypass the integrated graphics for lower latency and more optimised graphics performance from the discrete graphics cards.
Powering it all is a 62WHr battery with 100W charging. You’ll also find stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res certification, a built-in 3-mic array, a backlit chiclet keyboard and a 720p HD webcam. As for I/O, the ROG Flow X13 has a HDMI 2.0b port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port and two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, as well as a ROG XG Mobile Interface port for hooking up the eGPU.
