[ UPDATE 27/05/2022 09:00 ] The Realme GT Neo 3 Naruto special edition is now official in China. It goes on sale for CNY 2,799 (about RM1,823) on 31st May 2022.

Realme has got a couple of special edition devices and this time they are releasing its Naruto special edition model of its GT Neo 3. Besides having extra design elements to pay homage to the manga series, the special edition smartphone even comes with a Naruto scroll bag.

The Realme GT Neo 3 Naruto special edition is set to launch in China on 26th May 2022. Ahead of its release, Realme has already shared a couple of photos of the new collector bundle.

For the device itself, the camera bump gets a metal-looking plate that stretches the entire width. You’ll find a leaf symbol that represents Konohagakure along with the realme x Naruto branding right below it. We haven’t seen the rest of the exterior but we reckon there would be more elements from the series.

Probably the most interesting part of the special edition set is the ninja scroll bag. It isn’t clear if this is a functional bag where you can use it to carry small items like a mini duffle bag. It certainly looks cool, especially with its leather-like appearance and straps.

The Realme Naruto special edition device appears to be based on the Realme GT Neo 3 that was announced a few months ago in China and India. The GT Neo 3 features a 6.7″ Full HD+ AMOLED display which pushes a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a flagship-class 5nm Mediatek Dimensity 8100 5G chip that can be configured with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

For taking pictures, the GT Neo 3 gets a triple-camera setup which includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor for the main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2MP macro camera. Upfront, there’s a 16MP selfie shooter that sits in a tiny punch-hole. The device also has stereo speakers and support for Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos.

Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperDart fast charging technology via USB-C. With the bundled 80W charger, Realme claims that you can get 0-50% charge in just 12 minutes. Interestingly, there’s also another variant that supports an even insane 150W SuperDart charge which claims to push 50% charge in just 5 minutes. However, the 150W variant gets a smaller 4,500mAh battery. In India, the device comes with Android 12 out of the box with Realme UI 3.0 skin on top.

For now, the Realme x Naruto device appears to be exclusive to China for now. We reckon some grey importers in Malaysia may offer it locally after the launch. In China, the standard GT Neo 3 is priced from CNY 1,999 (about RM1,315) for the 80W variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Meanwhile, the higher 150W variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is going for CNY 2,599 (about RM1,707).
