Watching the Miami GP? Spot the QR codes on the Alpine F1 cars for free PC Game Pass

We’re a short while away from the inaugural Miami Grand Prix, and Formula One fans who happen to be PC gamers will want to tune in not just for the racing action, but also for a chance to get up to six months of PC Game Pass for free. This comes as Microsoft has teamed up with the BWT Alpine F1 team for the Fast Track to PC Game Pass Challenge.

How it works is actually pretty simple. BWT Alpine F1 have already been teasing the Fast Track to PC Game Pass Challenge on social media, with QR codes all around. These QR codes will be pasted onto the liveries of their Alpine A522 F1 car and starting from the first practice session on Friday onwards, you can then begin going on the lookout for the Alpine cars to try and scan these QR codes.

During the Friday practice sessions (7 May, Sat, 2.30am local time), if you manage to scan the QR code, you’ll be able to stand a chance to win a month of PC Game Pass. By the time qualifying starts on Saturday (8 May, Sun, 4am local time), if you manage to scan the QR code on the Alpines driven by Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon, you can win three months of PC Game Pass. Lastly, once the five lights go out and the race begins on Sunday (9 May, Mon, 3.30am local time), scan the QR code on the Alpines to stand a chance to win six months of PC Game Pass.

“We’re very excited to work on this unique collaboration with our partner PC Game Pass at the first-ever Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend in Miami. It’s great that we can work in unison with the Xbox team on something like this and it’s only made possible through our esteemed partnership with Microsoft,” – Otmar Szafnauer, BWT Alpine F1 Team Principal

The PC Game Pass has just only become official in Malaysia, and is currently available at just RM5 for your first three months. It brings with it access to some of the latest and greatest games such as Forza Horizon 5 and Back 4 Blood as well as popular titles such as Minecraft. You’ll also be able to play games that just have just launched from day one onwards, such as the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
