Poco F4 GT Hardware Specs
The Poco F4 GT is essentially a rebadged Redmi K50 Gaming that’s sold in China. The device gets a flat 6.67″ Full HD+ AMOLED display that pushes a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. For better screen durability, it even gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. Under the hood, it gets Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 gen 1 mated with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
For taking pictures, the rear gets a triple-camera setup that sits on a raised rectangular camera bump. It gets a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, the front punch-hole houses a 20MP front camera.
The Poco F4 GT features symmetrical “quad-speakers” with Dolby Atmos. For the ultimate gaming experience, the F4 GT also features pop-up mechanical shoulder buttons. According to Poco, the pop-up triggers are designed with magnetic levitation technology and have been tested to handle 1.5 million presses. The triggers can be customised for shortcuts such as camera, screen recording or turning on the flashlight.
Like most hardcore gaming smartphones, the device also features RGB lighting on the camera bump. It illuminates when Game Turbo mode is engaged and it can also display notification and battery charging status.
In terms of connectivity, the F4 GT supports 5G as well as WiFi 6E at 6GHz. Powering the device is a 4,700mAh battery and it supports 120W HyperCharge fast charging via USB-C. Poco claims that you can charge the device up to 100% in just 17 minutes. If you prefer to charge while gaming, it takes just 27 minutes to hit 100%.
Out of the box, it runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 for Poco skin on top.
With a starting price of just RM1,999 during the early-bird promo, the Poco F4 GT is the most value-for-money flagship smartphone at the moment. Even with the full retail price of RM2,499 for the top-spec 256GB model, it is still RM100 cheaper than the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, Realme GT2 Pro and Xiaomi 12 during their respective promo sales.
