If you’re an Astro customer having difficulty watching TV content, you’re not alone. Astro has confirmed that they are currently having technical issues which may affect access to Astro Go and On Demand content. Some users have also complained of interrupted content streaming and difficulty loading the electronic programme guide (EPG).

Astro acknowledged the issue at 7.44pm this evening but some users have reported having issues earlier at 6pm. The problem not only affects Astro Go users but also users on Astro Ultra Box and Astro Ulti Box.

As usual, customers have also complained about the issue on social media including a user watching via the Astro TV app. Most of them have the error message displaying “Streaming session failed – Connection was interrupted. Press [back] and play the programme again. If problem persist, please check your network.”

If you try watching on Astro Go, the app will display a message “Astro GO Server is busy – Our servers are experiencing high traffic right now (Code 500), Please wait while we try to reconnect you.”

At the time of writing, Astro has not provided a targetted time to resolve the issue. According to Astro’s tweet, they are working on restoring its services as soon as possible. Are you affected as well? Let us know in the comments below.
