Xiaomi has just recently launched a couple of new devices last week that expands on their already popular Redmi Note 11 series, namely the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G as well as the Redmi Note 11S 5G. They come with a range of new features and give users even more options when looking at the Redmi Note 11 series, which already offer some of the best price-to-performance in the market. So let’s take a closer look at these new devices today, and explore what makes them stand out.
Xiaomi is known for some of the most revolutionary fast charging technology we’ve seen in the smartphone market, and they have just only recently launched the Xiaomi 12 flagship series with the extremely impressive 120W fast charging on it. They are now bringing that feature to the midrange category as well, with the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G becoming the first ever Redmi device to feature 120W wired fast charging.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G has a big 4,500mAh battery keeping the lights on, and its 120W charging brick is even included in the box. The battery itself is built out of dual 2,250mAh cells, and you’ll be able to get a 100% charge in just 15 minutes if you use the device’s Boost Mode when charging. The rest of the device is just as impressive, with a 6.67-inch, FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay capable of a 120Hz refresh rate along with a 360Hz touch sampling rate allowing for smooth and responsive scrolling.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 11S 5G is also packed with a large 5,000mAh battery that will be able to power your device for the whole day, with little time wasted plugged into the wall socket. It gets a 6.6-inch FHD+ display too with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
As Malaysia continues its 5G network rollout, you can already get access to 5G connectivity via certain telcos right now. With the other major telcos set to expand upon the current 5G network in the coming months, it’s understandable then that you’ll be looking towards getting a 5G-capable smartphone.
Luckily, both the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 11S 5G are equipped with 6nm processors that feature 5G connectivity too. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G comes with the upper midrange octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 system-on-chip, while the Redmi Note 11S 5G has a midrange MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor to power all of your daily needs. With both performance and 5G support in check, you will be able to future-proof your smartphone and be ready once Malaysia’s 5G network rolls out in full.
Of course, a long lasting battery and a capable processor won’t be enough to satisfy your needs in this day and age. That’s why Xiaomi have also ensured that the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G comes with a great camera setup so that you’ll be able to take the best images without needing a full fledged camera.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G features a triple rear camera setup, with a 108MP, f/1.8 main camera using the Samsung HM2 1/1.52-inch sensor and also has dual native ISO. You’ll be able to capture every moment in the high resolution with great details, and thanks to the large sensors low light conditions will be no challenge to you either. This gets complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide camera along with a 2MP telemacro lens. As for the Redmi Note 11S 5G, it will have a 50MP main camera flanked by a 2MP depth sensor too..
So what are you waiting for? If you’re keen to get the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G for yourself, you can buy them now at any Xiaomi Authorised Store as well as their official stores on Lazada and Shopee. In fact, if you buy them on 6 April, you can get them cheaper too while stocks last as Xiaomi will be hosting its Xiaomi Fan Festival too. Here’s how much you can get them for:
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 11S 5G is also available from 22 April onwards. It will come in just one configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and will be priced at just RM999. As for those of you who would like a more value-oriented smartphone and don’t mind losing out on 5G connectivity, there’s the new Redmi Note 11 Xiaomi Fan Festival Edition smartphone too. It too comes in just one configuration with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and is priced at RM749, but on the 6 of April will cost just RM699!
