Samsung’s best smartwatch just got a whole lot better. The South Korean electronics giant just pushed a brand new set of feature updates to the Galaxy Watch4 series, adding a sleep coach, a better selection of watch faces and advanced interval training designed for runners and cyclists.
Samsung is introducing a new sleep coaching program that is designed to help you sleep better. First, you’ll need to take two sleep related surveys, then the watch will track your sleep patterns over seven days.
After that, the program will assign you one of eight adorable animals that will represent your sleeping type. These are the Unconcerned Lion, Sensitive Hedgehog, Nervous Penguin, Sun Averse Mole, Cautious Deer, Easygoing Walrus, Alligator on the Hunt and the Exhausted Shark.
Next, the sleep coach will guide you through a four to five week coaching program that includes missions, checklists, sleep related articles, meditation guidance, and regular reports. This is designed to help support you as you work towards improving your sleep quality.
The Galaxy Watch4 series will also see a host of new watch faces that are designed to match the device’s straps. You can choose and customise your watchface with a variety of hand colours, fonts, digital clocks, and wallpapers to make your Galaxy Watch4, uniquely yours.
New advanced interval training programs designed for runners and cyclists looking to train for an upcoming race will also be coming to the Galaxy Watch4 series. This will allow runners and cyclists to pre-set the duration, distance, and number of sets for each workout.
Then, the Galaxy Watch4 will guide them through a custom intensity training session with a series of high-intensity workouts interspersed with low-intensity workouts, making for an impactful and targeted workout every time
On top of that, the new body composition update will give users even more insight into their health progress. Powered by Centr—a digital fitness program curated by Chris Hemsworth—this is designed to help users transform their health and fitness mindset. Users will also get a 30-day free trial for full unrestricted access to Centr.
If you haven’t picked up the Galaxy Watch4 yet, now might be the perfect time to do so. Two options are available, the Galaxy Watch4 (44mm) and the Galaxy Watch4 Classic (46mm).
