Apple just globally released the Beats Fit Pro, a pair of true wireless (TWS) earbuds with active noise cancelling (ANC). It’s quite similar to the Apple Airpods Pro, but is intended for a more sporty audience and has compatibility with both Android and iOS.
Machines announced that the Beats Fit Pro will be available on Friday, January 28th, with in-store pick-ups taking three to seven working days. However, it is now available to order on Apple’s official website for RM909, with shipping taking two to four working days. The earbuds will come in Beats Black, Beats White, Stone Purple, and Sage Gray. The ear tips also come with three size options.
The Beats Fit Pro is powered by the Apple H1 chip, which also powers the latest AirPods models. This enables instant one-touch pairing with your Apple devices, auto-switching audio between Apple devices, and audio sharing with another pair of Beats or Apple headphones.
In terms of battery life, the earbuds provide up to 6 hours of listening time with the buds alone with ANC on, and up to 24 hours when combined with the charging case. Without ANC, you can expect 7 hours of listening time from the buds. It also has ANC, Transparency Mode, and Spatial Audio which dynamically tracks your head to provide an immersive experience. The Beats Fit Pro are IPX4-rated for water and dust resistance.
Since it uses the Beats app, this means that it can be fully compatible with Android devices, something the AirPods can’t boast about. Design-wise, the earbuds also differentiate themselves by having a winged tip that is supposed to help them stay in your ears.
You can order the Beats Fit Pro now on Apple’s website for RM909 with free shipping. It even comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable, but unfortunately does not support wireless charging. For comparison, the AirPods Pro is officially priced at RM1,099, but you can get it for as low as RM749.
If that sounds a little too steep for you, you can consider the Beats Studio Buds, priced at RM629 but sometimes having an offer price of RM599. Its specs are almost identical to the Beats Fit Pro, with ANC, Transparency Mode, Spatial Audio and 24 hours of battery. The main thing you’re missing with the Studio Buds is the H1 chip which allows for automatic cross-device switching.
