MSI has officially revealed their latest bunch of gaming laptops complete with 12th Gen Intel Core mobile processors, the first machines with these new CPUs in Malaysia. Three of them are now available for pre-order, with more models set to arrive on in Malaysia later this year.
The pre-order period will last from now till the end of January 2022. You can check out what’s on offer at MSI Malaysia’s website here, along with the official MSI store on Shopee and Lazada. If you do pre-order any of these new gaming laptops from MSI Malaysia, you’ll also get free gifts such as a Fitbit Luxe tracker, an MSI gaming mouse and an MSI gaming headset worth a total of RM1,349. Those who then register their new laptops on the MSI Membership Center and review their purchase will also be able to redeem a Steam wallet code for USD50.
The first of the new laptops made available, the MSI Stealth GS66 comes in two configurations, with the base model going for RM12,999 while the higher spec model is priced at RM19,999. Starting with the base model, it comes with the Intel Core i7-12700H processor mated to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD. It also comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti that has 8GB of VRAM. That GPU will be pushing up to 240Hz on its 15.6-inch 1440p IPS display.
The higher end MSI Stealth GS66 meanwhile comes with the more powerful Intel Core i9-12900H processor, a ridiculous 64GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SSD. It also comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 16GB of VRAM.
Going with the higher spec model also gets you a 15.6-inch 4K IPS display with 100% coverage of the sRGB colour gamut. It does however come with just a 60Hz refresh rate. The more expensive Stealth GS66 also gets you an additional SD card reader, but other than that the rest between the two are the same. This means both have a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-C 3.2 ports, two USB-A 3.2 ports, a HDMI port, an Ethernet port and a 3.5mm audio jack. You’ll also get WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.

There will be up to four configurations of the MSI Raider GE76/GE66 available, with the most expensive one almost as much as a Perodua Axia.
The cheapest of the lot is the MSI Raider GE66. It has a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display with a refresh rate of 360Hz. Underneath is the Intel Core i7-12700H, mated to 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD. Graphics meanwhile get taken care of by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with 8GB of VRAM. Its smaller size also means it weighs lighter, at just 2.38kg, while also being thinner than the Raider GE76 at 23.4mm. Other differences between this and its bigger siblings are its stereo 2W speakers, with the Raider GE76 getting dual 1W speakers with additional dual 2W woofers.
Moving to the MSI Raider GE76, the increase in model name also brings with it a larger 17.3-inch, QHD IPS display capable of a 240Hz refresh rate, with the range topping model getting a higher resolution 4K IPS display and 120Hz refresh rate instead. They also come with up to the Intel Core i9-12900HK for overclocking on the go, up to 64GB of RAM and up to 2TB in SSD storage. If you opt for the most expensive configuration, it’ll also come with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 16GB of VRAM. It’s bigger size also comes with more heft, weighing 2.9kg and measuring 25.6mm thick.
Elsewhere, the MSI Raider GE76/GE66 are mostly similar, with a 99Whr battery keeping the lights on and a 1080p webcam above the display. It also has an RGB strip across the front edge, and supports Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6E. As for I/O, you’ll get a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, an Ethernet port, an SD card slot, a HDMI port, a 3.5mm audio jack as well as a Mini DisplayPort.
The last of MSI’s new laptops, the MSI Vector GP76/GP66 are positioned a little lower on the product stack, with more entry-level hardware along with lower prices too. Starting with the MSI Vector GP66, it’s priced at RM7,999 and has a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display capable of a refresh rate up to 240Hz. It’s pricier sibling meanwhile is the MSI Vector GP76, priced at RM8,599, and it has a larger 17.3-inch FHD IPS display with a 360Hz refresh rate.
Other than the screen size though, it’s mostly the same hardware between the two MSI Vector laptops. They both come with the Intel Core i7-12700H processor mated to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD, while graphics are taken care of by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card with 6GB of VRAM. Keeping the lights on is a 65Whr battery and it comes with a 280W power brick.
The MSI Vector GP76/GP66 support both WiFi 6E as well as Bluetooth 5.2, and come with a 3.5mm audio jack, a Mini DisplayPort, a HDMI port, an Ethernet port, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port as well as three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports.
